We have been approached by UPP in Chapéu Mangueira & Babilônia to participate in this project. What started as a kind request to donate 3 sprays ended as a revitalisation of 40 metres of the street.
We helped with the plaster finish of the wall. Then we organized the paint of basic background color. Then Luiz together with us spent some time buying material for the big day. The big day was marked for saturday, august 2nd. We were hoping and praying for the weather to help us and it did. We woke up to a great sunny day.
Soon after 9am graffiti artists from all around Rio de Janeiro metropolitan area started to apear. We had friends coming from Campo Grande, Bangu, Jardim América , Botafogo, Copacabana, Niterói, Rocinha. The big thank you goes to Luiz and his crew, Wark da Rocinha, Miguel Fernandez, Vitor VGS, Pandro, Rodrigo Eok, Daniel Frickmann, Tis FzoCrew, and Jean Poul Livrement.
Without you this would not be possible. THANK YOU!!!

Have a look how it looks like when Liz decides to have a yogurt. All of a sudden Ester and Camila appear and ask for their share ;-)))
Smile. It’s a nice day.
Good news today
All or staff and all our great guests contributed to Lisetonga Hostel once again take home the Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence Award 2014. We thank you for all your love and support over the last year. We work hard for you to love it here, in Lisetonga Hostel. We always believed that Lisetonga is a great hostel. We also always believed that our guests, you, experience the same. That you will feel it, live it, and say it. And apparently you do.
pssst…we do love it here too
This big THANK YOU goes to our staff and to you who together make Lisetonga a great place to stay in Rio de Janeiro. We want to THANK YOU for living the Lisetonga experience with us day and night after day and night, for being great staff and great guests and for making us a great hostel. THANK YOU!!!.
Smile. It’s a nice day.
We were pleased to be able to offer this new and cool way to go to the airport. Rio Limobike seems to be, if you travel alone and with not too much on, an excellent option.
The guys will pick you up…which looks something like this :-) …
Then they take you on a nice ride on their BMW motorbikes through the city right to Lisetonga Hostel Rio de Janeiro. That looks like this:
Great way to come to Rio de Janeiro
And yet another travellers blog. Girls travelled 10.000 km and wrapped up here their experiences. Lisetonga made it to their hostel selection as one very fine hostel in Rio de Janeiro.
Back then we did not rent scooters, but hey, now we do, and it is probably the best way to see the city. You totally should try it :-))
